Etymology
"From the Latin <i>longus</i> meaning long and <i>stylus</i> meaning style in reference to its long style. The other <i>Nyssanthes</i> taxa have styles that are 0.3-0.8 mm long, while in <i>N. longistyla</i> the style is 2.7-3.3 mm long."
