Solokoff <i>et al.</i> cite "<i>Juncella occidentalis</i>" in synonymy of this name. This is here considered to be an error for <i>Juncella submersa</i>, as <i>J occidentalis</i> is recognised as an accepted taxon elsewhere in the same work.
