Family BOSMINIDAE Baird, 1845
Introduction
Bosminids are small cladocerans, about 1 mm or less. The valves cover the trunk and thoracic limbs, the ventro-posterior corner of the valve is angular or with a spine-like elongation, the antennule of the female is fused with the rostrum (Smirnov & Timms, 1983). These authors provided a key to the two genera and species in Australia.
