Superorder CALMANOSTRACA Tasch, 1969
Introduction
Calomanostracans can be diagnosed as follows: cara¬pace flattened with dorsal organ incorporated; adult second antennae uniramous and unarticulated; mandible gnathal edge with six or more strong, multicuspidate teeth; trunk limb subdivisions individually sclerotised, distal portion large with endites 4 and 5 and the endopod distal and elongated; and five eggs are born on limb 11 between a subapical lobe and the exopod (Olesen, 2009).
