Species Diogenes jousseaumei (Bouvier, 1897)

Lectotype MNHP Pg 1368 male (probable depository institution), Djibouti, Gulf of Aden.
Paralectotype(s) MNHP Pg 1364, 1365, 1366, 1368, sane as lectotype.
Introduction
McLaughlin (2008) stated that McLaughlin (2005) had shown that D. setocristatus and D. stenops were subjective synonyms of D. jousseaumei. However, McLaughlin (2005) treated them all as separate species.
