Type species:
Astacilla falclandica Ohlin, 1901 (ICZN (1987) confirmed the identity of the type species in response to a request from Lew Ton & Poore (1986).) by original designation, see Lew Ton, H.M., & Poore, G.C.B. 1986. Neastacilla Tattersall, 1921 (Crustacea, Isopoda): request for confirmation of Astacilla falclandica Ohlin, 1907 as type species. Z.N.(S.)2509. Bulletin of Zoological Nomenclature 43(1): 99; ICZN 1987. Astacilla falclandica Ohlin, 1901 (Crustacea, Isopoda): confirmed as type species of Neastacilla Tattersall, 1921.
