Diagnosis
Carapace markedly broader than long, transversely subcylindrical, without posterolateral facet; orbits transverse; eyestalks short. Third maxilliped with ischium smaller than merus; merus and ischium separate or not completely fused; merus longitudinal or slightly oblique; palp often very large. (After Sakai 1976).
