Introduction
Köhler & Bouchet (2020) found Meridolum Iredale, 1933 to be nomen nudum as it lacked a description and they referred all species previously placed in that genus to Sauroconcha pending a more thorough revision.

Initially restricted to Capertee Valley, NSW based on type species, but distributed across the Sydney Basin with the inclusion of species previously placed in Meridolum Iredale 1933
